Thank you, Grandmaster Baugh, for teaching me Tai Chi Chuan, which includes etiquette, stretching, Chan Ssu Jin (Silk Reeling Exercises), Yow Jin (Waist Training Exercises), forms and posture work, standing meditation, push hands, as well as the fan and sword techniques. It is absolutely essential to understand the 13 Postures, reverse breathing, and both Neigong and Weigong methods of Qigong.
Tai Chi and Qigong are becoming increasingly popular and are recognized by professional athletes, judges, lawyers, doctors, UFC fighters, professors, and universities across the nation, demonstrating their effectiveness for stress management and physical health.
Special Thanks to Sifu Nick, the Lohan Lion Dancers, and the Lohan Warriors.

The tai chi chuan is a practice and also an experience. You have to practice with purpose but without expecting anything. It is the experience itself of practicing it that must be satisfying. What the teacher does is facilitate this exercise. It has transformative consequences on the body of the practitioner. But they are silent transformations. The body is not just a skeletal structure, the body is everything. It's shen (spirit), it's i (mind), it's chi (energy). These Chinese terms have an allusive value, they are not concepts. Let's not look for a definition because it doesn't have it. They are directions, always indirect. Expect nothing, practice and experience. Or we do something else if it's not satisfying. Or we don't do anything. But the practice of tai chi chuan can't be done looking for a goal. You have to do it with only one purpose, which is to practice and practice well. It's justified in experience. - Harriett
Jimmie was introduced to Tai Chi through Sifu Jack Soderberg in 1988, along with studying the Filipino arts and JKD concepts. In 1992, he continued his pursuit of Tai chi with Daishi Steven Baugh for approximately 2 years. During that time, Jimmie joined the North Las Vegas Police Dept as a Detention/Corrections officer. During those years, he had the opportunity to successfully apply various Tai Chi principals in both physical and verbal confrontations; thus proving (at least to himself) that Tai Chi is truly effective in real world confrontations.
Jimmie continues to study Yang style Tai Chi and Shao Lin Chen style Tai Chi. In 2019, Jimmie was granted permission by Sifu JC Cox to teach the Tai Chi 48 form as taught by Daishi Steven Baugh after six years of practice, Sihing Jimmie is one of Golden Dragons Art’s top instructors.
